...eerie. Are those...blood splatters at the edge of the painting? :O

It's... what can I say? Beautiful, in a tragic way? To me, the piece seems to invoke the memory of Izanami entering the underworld, as she looks to be in that state wherein she's teetering between her beautiful and rotting form as stated in the legend.

Tragic, because it seems to me that in this image, she's willing to wait for husband dearest to come back for her, and we all know how that ends up, don't we?
